Contact Us
When you contact us through the website, schedule a consultation, or engage our firm, we may collect:
Contact details — name, business name, email address, phone number, mailing address
Inquiry details — the questions or context you share in a contact form, on a discovery call, or in correspondence
Engagement information — financial records, tax documents, payroll data, bookkeeping files, and other materials you provide so we can perform the services you've engaged us for
Payment information — billing details processed through our payment providers (we do not store full credit card numbers on our own systems)
When you visit our website, our hosting and analytics tools may automatically collect:
Device and browser information — browser type, operating system, screen size
Usage information — pages viewed, time on page, referring URL, approximate location based on IP address
Cookies and similar technologies — see Section 6 below
We use the information we collect to:
Respond to inquiries and schedule consultations
Perform the professional services you've engaged us for — tax preparation, bookkeeping, payroll, advisory work, and related services
Communicate with you about your engagement, including reminders, status updates, and required notices
Send relevant business updates and educational content if you've opted in to receive them
Maintain records as required by professional, regulatory, and legal obligations
Improve our website and the services we offer
Protect against fraud, unauthorized access, and misuse of our systems
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the limited circumstances below:
With your consent — when you instruct us to share information with a third party (for example, a lender, attorney, or another advisor)
With service providers — vendors who help us deliver our services, under written agreements that require them to safeguard your information (see Section 5)
As required by law — in response to a subpoena, court order, or other valid legal process, or when necessary to comply with tax, securities, or other regulatory obligations
To protect rights and safety — when we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to investigate or prevent fraud, protect the security of our systems, or defend our legal rights
In a business transaction — if our firm is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or part of its assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to the protections of this policy
If you engage us to prepare your federal income tax returns, your tax return information receives additional protection under Internal Revenue Code Section 7216. Under this law, we cannot use or disclose your tax return information for any purpose other than preparing your return unless we first obtain your written consent.
What this means in practice: If we ever need to share tax return information for purposes outside of preparing your return — for example, with a financial advisor, lender, or affiliated service provider — we will first request your written consent on a form that meets IRS requirements. You may decline to sign that consent without affecting our ability to prepare your return.
This protection applies in addition to the broader confidentiality obligations we owe you under professional standards and applicable law.
We use third-party services to operate our practice and deliver work to clients. These providers may process your information on our behalf under contractual confidentiality and data-protection obligations. They include, among others:
Accounting and tax software (e.g., professional tax preparation platforms, QuickBooks Online)
Payroll processing platforms
Secure document portals for exchanging sensitive files
Email and productivity services
Customer relationship management and scheduling tools
Website hosting, analytics, and security services
Payment processors
We select service providers we believe maintain appropriate security and privacy practices. We do not authorize them to use your information for their own marketing purposes.
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to function properly, remember your preferences, measure how visitors use the site, and improve user experience. You can control cookies through your browser settings — disabling cookies may affect how some parts of the site work.
We may use analytics tools that collect aggregated, de-identified information about site usage. We do not use this information to identify individual visitors.
We take commercially reasonable steps to protect the information you share with us, including secure document portals for exchanging sensitive files, access controls on internal systems, and confidentiality obligations for everyone who handles client information.
No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee against all unauthorized access. If you believe your information has been compromised, please contact us immediately at the address in Section 12.
We retain client records for the period required by professional standards, applicable tax and regulatory laws, and our own business needs — typically a minimum of seven years for tax-related records. Inquiries that do not result in an engagement are kept for a shorter period and then deleted or anonymized.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding the personal information we hold about you, including the right to:
Request access to the personal information we have collected
Request correction of inaccurate information
Request deletion of information, subject to our legal and professional record-retention obligations
Opt out of marketing communications at any time using the unsubscribe link in our emails
To exercise these rights, contact us at the address in Section 12. We will respond within a reasonable time and may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests.
Our website and services are intended for adults and business owners. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or for other reasons. When we make a material change, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify active clients directly.
If you have questions about this policy, want to exercise your rights, or have concerns about how we handle your information, please contact us:
